We couldn't think of a better first recipe to share than our family's take on the
classic pecan pie! Try out this recipe that makes 2 pies (that's one for your table and one to share ... or 2 to share ... or, let's be honest: 2 for your table!) and let us know what you think. Horne Family Classic Pecan Pie
(Makes 2 large pies)
Ingredients:

1 cup eggs beaten well

1 1/3 cup light brown sugar

1 1/3 cup light karo syrup

1 tsp. salt

2 tsp. pure vanilla

3 tbsp. melted butter
Directions:
- Stir ingredients well
- Add 1 cup of pieces to pie shell
- Crimp edges
- Pour mixture over pieces
- Stir and coat pecans good
- Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes (standard oven). [Convection oven, bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.]
